Famous spiritual teacher Sister Shivani Verma appearing on Banega Swasth India 12-hour 'Swasthagraha', a campaign for a healthy India, said mother and child need optimal nutrition during pregnancy. "The mind has a direct effect on the body and most of our diseases are psychosomatic. Emotions of a mother have a direct effect not only on the body of the child but also on the mind of the child," she said.
