Mid-day Meal Program Is Benefitting Over 60,000 School Children In Alwar

Mid-day meals are crucial for nutrition and hunger especially among the rural poor with parents often busy in the fields and farms. Havells India's CSR project started supplying mid-day meals to school children in Alwar so that no child is deprived of the three most important and basic things - nutrition, health, and education. The programme was started in 2005 with 1500 students, today the same programme is benefitting more than 60,000 children from 688 schools every day in the Alwar region of Rajasthan.
