Watch out for Sooni Taraporevala, an Indian screenwriter and photographer who is best known as the screenwriter of Mississippi Masala, The Namesake as she shares her Harvard University experience with us. Harvard opened up a whole new world for her, sowing the seeds for the extraordinary work she was to do as a photographer and screenwriter later in life. She also met her collaborator in cinema, Mira Nair there. She wants to continue writing films, directing them and taking pictures. And on the bucket list is a novel! Sooni Taraporevala was also awarded the Padma Shri by Government of India in 2014, we hope this newly acquired and richly deserved award will keep her motivated.
