Formalin Scare: Safe To Eat Fish?

Formalin is being found in fish samples in many parts of the country. Today, the Meghalaya government has issued an order banning sale of fish imported from outside the state for a period of 15 days after some samples tested positive for presence of formalin; a toxic chemical that can cause cancer. Fish imports were also banned earlier in Goa, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur while other states have increased scrutiny. Tonight, we ask, who's responsible for this toxin being served? Also, is it still safe to eat fish?
