Days after Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan ordered an investigation against his predecessor Oommen Chandy in the solar scam, the latter has called it a 'political gimmick'. Speaking to NDTV, Mr Chandy said, "We are not worried about anything. We are very confident of proving our innocence." While directing the state's Vigilance department to initiate probe, Mr Vijayan said that the judicial commission report on the scam offers enough evidence of corruption by the former chief minister and his personal staff.
