Shocking Moment Buildings Washed Away As Violent Flood Smashes Through Nepal's Rasuwa

A massive flash flood surging into Nepal from the Tibetan side of the border has torn through communities along the Bhote Koshi River, sending a powerful wave downstream into the Trishuli and forcing evacuations across several districts. Footage from Rasuwa, shows a huge surge of muddy water crashing through valley communities, sweeping buildings and debris away in its path. Another clip filmed from the hillside shows the destruction below, with thick clouds of earth rising as the torrent tears through the valley. The flood struck at around 09:00 am on Wednesday, devastating Timure and Syabrubesi in Rasuwa, home to around 50,000 people, before racing downstream through Nuwakot towards Dhading.
