Shillong Student Rally Turns Violent, 31 Vehicles Damaged; 3 KSU Leaders Arrested

A student body rally in Shillong turned violent, with clashes breaking out between police and members of the Khasi Students' Union (KSU). Three senior KSU leaders were arrested after violence reportedly left several people injured and 31 vehicles damaged, with some vehicles set ablaze. Statues of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda were also reportedly vandalised. Amid the unrest and street violence, the Meghalaya government has invited the KSU for talks.
