Setback for Maharashtra DGP

The Bombay High Court has struck down the appointment of A N Roy as the Director General of Police of Maharashtra. The High Court has asked the government to appoint a new DGP within four weeks. The ruling by the Bombay High Court has come after a petition was filed saying that Roy was promoted out of turn.
