Assam Police have arrested around 330 alleged fraudsters in a major statewide operation launched in the early hours of the morning. Investigators say the accused allegedly contacted people through digital platforms, claiming they could influence police investigations or "manage" criminal cases. The crackdown followed days of surveillance and was launched on the directions of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
