In a history of sorts, Chennai witnessed two hand transplants in a span of ten days, giving new lease of life for two men who had lost their hands in  accidents. This was possible by organ donation by families of brain dead people. One of them had lost both his hands. India has had only less than forty hand transplants. There is less awareness and families too are reluctant to let hands of brain dead members amputated for donation. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to the men and their doctors.
