The controversy surrounding the film 'Satluj' has intensified, with the Central Government now considering action against ZEE5 for allegedly streaming the film without mandatory CBFC certification.
According to government sources, streaming a film without certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is legally impermissible. Officials say the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) exercised its powers under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act to direct the removal of the film from the OTT platform.
