Russia’s Kamchatka Slowly Recovers After “Snow Apocalypse” | Deadly Cyclone & Record Snowfall

Life is gradually returning to normal in Russia’s Kamchatka region after a powerful cyclone caused a “snow apocalypse.” Record snowfall of up to 3 metres (10 feet) paralyzed the area, blocked streets, and led to the tragic deaths of two people as snow fell from rooftops. Public transport was disrupted, with buses replaced by all-terrain vehicles, while locals worked tirelessly to clear snow from streets and resume traffic. This extreme weather event has left a lasting impact on the region, highlighting the challenges of coping with severe winter storms.
