Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed a temporary ceasefire with Russia as Moscow continues fresh attacks across Ukraine. Russia reportedly carried out a midday airstrike on Ukraine’s intelligence service headquarters on September 4, while Kyiv and other cities also came under attack. Zelensky confirmed that US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are scheduled to visit Moscow and Kyiv on September 5 and 6 for peace talks. He said Ukraine would not conduct air strikes during the envoys’ visit.
