In the interview to NDTV, Russian envoy Denis Alipov said Russia remains committed to supplying oil to India, highlighting a sharp increase in energy cooperation despite global pressures. He criticised sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union, calling them illegitimate and a tool to exert pressure on multiple countries, including India. Alipov stressed that India does not recognise these sanctions and that the India-Russia energy partnership has played a crucial role in ensuring stability during global disruptions. He expressed confidence that oil trade between the two nations will continue to grow, supporting India's energy security needs.
