Former Revenue Officer Denied Admission In Army Hospital, Dies

The death of a retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer - a former Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in Himachal Pradesh's Kasauli - after he was denied treatment at a military hospital in the hill town has been condemned widely. AK Luthra, 74, died after he was not allowed to be admitted into the military hospital. The Himachal Pradesh government has ordered a investigation. Army sources said there was a communication gap when Mr Luthra was brought to the hospital.
