Why BPF's Victory In Bodoland Polls, Will Set New Equations In Assam Politics
The Bodoland People's Front (BPF) led Hagrama Mohilary has swept the the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) election, final results have been declared today. These elections are seen very crucial ahead of the 2026 Assam polls. Securing a majority of seats, the BPF is now set to form the next BTC government, marking the revival of Mohilary’s leadership after five years in the wilderness. BPF bagged 28 seats while UPPL won 7 seats and BJP bagged 5 seats.
