Punjab Farmers March To Delhi Against Proposed India-US Trade Deal
Farmers from Punjab have marched towards Delhi to participate in a Mahapanchayat at Kisan Ghat against the proposed India-US trade agreement. Organised by the Desh Bachao Morcha, the protest is expected to draw representatives from nearly 550 farmers' unions and social organisations. Farmer leaders, including the Kisan Mazdoor Sangarsh Committee, allege that the proposed trade pact would hurt Indian farmers, labourers, and small traders while benefiting American companies and agricultural interests.
