Political Storm in Bengal After Bulldozer Action at Abhishek Banerjee's Office
A political controversy has erupted in West Bengal's Diamond Harbour after a bulldozer demolished the shade outside Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee's parliamentary office.
The TMC has strongly condemned the action, calling it an example of "bulldozer culture" and alleging it was an act of political vendetta. The party has also claimed that BJP workers vandalised the office and pointed to a social media post by BJP leader Abhijit Das (Bobby), who allegedly announced the drive hours before it took place.
According to the TMC, the matter is already pending before a court and the demolition reflects "dirty, violent politics" and "goonda raj."
