Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the 'Rozgar Mela' - a recruitment drive to fill up vacancies in 10 lakh Government jobs in the next year and a half. In the first batch, appointment letters given to 75,000 appointees across states. The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join 38 ministries or departments of the central government, at various levels. The posts include those of central armed forces personnel, sub-inspectors, income tax inspectors, etc. Critics say these jobs fill existing vacancies, new jobs have not been announced. In fact, Nisha Singh, who got appointment letters during the Mela tells us even these recruitments are not new. She received the same offer letter that she had received on email months ago. But Singh says she's really happy to be honoured during the Rozgar Mela. She says the process of recruitment was smooth and she hopes it is expedited across services.
