A political controversy erupted in West Bengal on Thursday after an alleged video of Humayun Kabir surfaced on social media.

The video showed him purportedly claiming links with senior BJP leaders and efforts to defeat Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee slammed AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi. Calling him a "donkey from Hyderabad", the chief minister launched a sharp attack on the AIMIM chief.
