A fortnight later, as more and more inaccessible areas come into focus, the full extent of the devastation is only just becoming apparent in Uttarakhand. As authorities and states struggle and dispute to give estimates for the loss, on the ground, the deeper and more long-term tragedy is that this disaster has pushed 1000's of people into debt and poverty.
