As India continues to grapple with the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a suggestion a few weeks ago that the third wave of coronavirus in India will hit children more. But this week, at a briefing, a top government official said that there is no indication, as of now, that children will be severely affected in the third wave of the pandemic. The Indian Academy of Paediatrics has also said it was highly unlikely that the third wave would predominantly or exclusively affect children.
