At NDTV's Power Play Bihar event, Prashant Kishor hit out at the Bihar government's ₹10,000 cash transfer scheme for women, calling it 'government-led bribery' ahead of the polls. He said the scheme exposes the administrative and political immorality of doing nothing for five years and then distributing money before elections to buy votes. Kishor argued that if two crore women get the money, there are still many more who haven't - and anger among those left out could backfire on the government. He added that unlike Maharashtra’s universal and monthly scheme, Bihar’s one-time payout is selective. Kishor warned that if voters sell their vote for ₹10,000, they risk selling their children’s future too.
