Tamil Nadu has 75,000 lawyers and about half of them from across the State took to the streets of Chennai for a victory march. This followed the Madras High Court direction to suspend two senior police officials who ordered the lathi charge on their campus last month.
This was a show of strength by lawyers in Chennai - exactly a month after the violence on their court campus.
