Thousands gathered at Sydney’s Bondi Beach early Friday for an emotional paddle out to honour the victims of last Sunday’s mass shooting. Around 700 surfers and paddleboarders formed a large circle in the sea and observed a moment of silence for the 15 people killed during a Hanukkah celebration. Police said the antisemitic attack was inspired by the Islamic State group. The victims ranged in age from 10 to 87, while several injured remain hospitalised in Sydney.
