$100K H-1B Fee Only for New Applicants, Says White House

The White House has confirmed that the new $100,000 fee for H1-B visa applicants which takes effect on Sunday (September 21st) will not affect current visa-holders in any way.
It reiterated that they can continue to leave and re-enter the US as they always have. The one-time fee will only apply to new visa applications. US president Donald Trump signed the proclamation in an effort to curb what his administration says is overuse of the program, which is for skilled foreign workers.
