The $9 billion deal between Cairn and Vedanta may end up floating like an oilslick for longer than most expect. The oil ministry seems to be not willing to move till the interests of ONGC are taken care off despite of Cairn Energy CEO Bill Gammel meeting the oil ministry several times.
