The Israeli military killed a senior member of the militant group Hezbollah in an air strike in Beirut. The strike marks the first on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital in months. It targeted Iran-backed Hezbollah's acting chief of staff, Ali TabAtabai. Hezbollah confirmed the death and added that israel has crossed a 'red line'. Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that under his power. Israel would not allow hezbollah to rebuild its power. The strike also killed five peope and injured 28 more. The attack comes despite a US-brokered ceasefire.
