People In Remote Areas Of Rajouri Get Pucca Houses Under PMAY Scheme
Pucca houses are being built for people living below the poverty line in hilly and far-flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri on July 06. These houses are built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The beneficiaries of the PMAY scheme, who were earlier living in kutcha houses, faced many problems during the winter season. The PMAY, a flagship initiative of the central government, aims to provide affordable housing to millions across the country. "The work for PMAY has been 100 pc completed... The people have got the benefits of it... Now, 80 pc of work has been completed under the Awas Plus Houses by the Department of Rural Development...," said Mohd Razaq.
