One of the much-talked about schemes of the BJP government is the Pradhan Mantri Awas Joyana - building millions of houses for the underprivileged. The Modi government's version offers beneficiaries from up to 1.2 lakh to 1.3 lakh per rural house and has set an ambitious target: to build 1 crore rural houses in three years and 1.2 crore urban houses in six years.
