Paper Leak Bill Showdown: Jitendra Singh Defends Govt, Opposition Calls It 'Eyewash'

After six days of disruptions, the Lok Sabha finally began discussion on the Anti-Paper Leak Bill, with the government and Opposition clashing over the intent and effectiveness of the proposed law.

Leading the government's charge, MoS PMO Jitendra Singh cited past instances of paper leaks, including cases during the UPA era and in Opposition-ruled states. He said the Bill has been brought with an honest intent to ensure faster action, justice, and accountability in paper leak cases.
