Omar Abdullah Raises Statehood Demand Ahead Of Amit Shah Meet
Omar Abdullah said the demand for restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir remains an ongoing process ahead of his meeting with Amit Shah in Delhi. Omar Abdullah said he would also discuss several governance issues, including powers related to law and order, telecom restrictions, and matters referred to the Centre by the Lieutenant Governor. He defended the decision to keep certain security-related powers with the LG, saying it avoids confusion in administration.
