'My fight began when girls from rural Haryana could not join me to represent India in volleyball for Asiad as they were married off by their parent,' says Jagmati Sangwan, a nominee in the Social category for #WomenOfWorth Awards 2016. Jagmati Sangwan is known for her battles against Haryana’s Khap Panchayats. Sangwan joined the Haryana Janwadi Mahila Samiti for taking up the cause of women. She not only became its state President but also enrolled more than 50,000 women as its members.
