The Chennai City Police has launched a first-of-its-kind accident response and rescue vehicle "Veera" to save lives of passengers trapped in vehicles mangled after crashes. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to the Chennai Police Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore on the high number of deaths in road accidents in the state, lessons learnt from the AR Rahman concert and crime in the city.
