After two years of the pandemic stalled economic growth, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has led to new worries and its hurting all of us. Globally, there is a shortage of food, especially wheat, oil prices have sky rocketed leading to more inflation, leading to a cost-of-living crisis that is clearly visible from Europe to India. In India, there are the multiple challenges, including high inflation. This is largely due to high crude prices, vegetables and steel. The poor are the hardest hit. Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee joins us to break down the crisis and what lies ahead for India and the world.
