Push For Exams In Local Language Has Many Academicians Worried

While the University Grants Commission has asked universities to permit students to take exams in local languages even if they are taught in English, many academicians are cautious. They say this is a failed model in India as the country has many languages and that a lot needs to be done in translation first to make this work. NDTV spoke to three-time Vice Chancellor Dr G Thiruvasagam who's now the Pro-Chancellor of AMET University.
