For the first time, foreign universities will be able to set up their campuses in India. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released draft regulations and hope that the first such institutions will be set up within two years - a move that would benefit lakhs of students. Though, at the moment, there is still no clarity on how much a degree from a foreign university will cost.
