Chennai Launches Special Ambulances For Covid Patients

In a first of its kind, the Chennai Corporation has revived it's fleet of COVID special ambulances to expedite treatment through home triage and to eliminate needless rush to hospitals by positive patients. The city's triage team visits homes of positive patients within hours after results come, to decide on home isolation or institutional care. Thanks to these vehicles patients requiring hospital treatment or tests at screening centres are taken immediately to health facilities with no hassle or risk for the family.
