Nepal Floods: Temporary Bridge Built After Trishuli River Crossings Collapse

In Nepal's Nuwakot district, dozens of bridges and hanging bridges were swept away when the flash floods hit, leaving communities on both sides of the Trishuli River cut off. As a temporary relief measure, the local administration is building a rope-and-iron bridge with a trolley to help stranded residents cross the river and access medical care and other essential services. The temporary crossing is expected to be operational shortly as reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure could take months or even years.
