Nepal Floods: Death Toll Crosses 580 As India Steps Up Rescue Efforts For Missing Indians
Day 4 of the Nepal flood rescue operation sees the death toll cross 580, with more than 300 Indians still reported missing. India has sent a third flight carrying 10 tonnes of HADR aid, an 11-member medical team and a tunnel rescue team. Around 400 Indian tourists are reportedly safe on the Chinese side in Tibet, while 152 have crossed into Nepal. Meanwhile, 21 Tamil Nadu tourists have returned to New Delhi, as the state government says around 400 Tamil Nadu tourists were in Nepal, with 80 still missing.
