Indian Survivors' Account On Escaping Deadly Nepal Floods

Over 547 people have been killed and 977 are missing after a massive flash flood hit Nepal this week, washing away villages and many project sites in a region bordering Tibet. Earlier, Chinese state media confirmed five deaths, taking the total killed to at least 552. In a press conference on Friday, Ministry of External Affairs Randhir Jaiswal said 320 Indians are still not contactable, while 96 Indian nationals from China who were on the Mansarovar Yatra have safely crossed over to Nepal. A group of 21 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu, who were on the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage, speak to NDTV Editor-in-Chief Rahul Kanwal. Three women who survived and witnessed the deadly Nepal floods recount a terrifying moment when they say they saw the face of Lord Shiva in the water rushing towards them. All three described seeing the image in the seconds when the floodwaters hit.
