“The flood was right behind us. We just ran.” As devastating flash floods tear through Nepal, NDTV meets Saurabh and Salina, a couple who narrowly escaped the raging waters and are now stranded at a small tea shop in Nuwakot. Speaking to NDTV, the couple recounts the terrifying moments when warnings of an approaching flood sent people running for safety. Saurabh says he received a call warning him that a flood was coming and rushed out. Soon after, floodwaters swept away an old bridge and people were forced to flee.
