"NaMo Drone Didi" Scheme Helping Women In Villages Pilot Drones

Rural women associated with Self Help Groups registered under the National Rural Livelihood Mission can learn how to operate drones to spray pesticides and fertilisers on crops, under the central government-sponsored "Namo Drone Didi" scheme. Gurdeep Kaur, a resident of Gambhirpur village in Punjab's Anandpur Sahib district seized the opportunity.  After 15 days of training she is now a certified drone pilot.
