As Muzaffarnagar town in Uttar Pradesh tried to come to grips with the aftermath of communal clashes in which 38 people have died, clashes in neighboring Baghpat spelled fresh trouble for the struggling Samajwadi Party government. Union minister and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Ajit Singh, who is the elected representative from Baghpat constituency, today accused the Samajwadi Party of trying to polarize voters ahead of national polls due in May.
