Fresh cracks have emerged within the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), as National Secretary Sachchidanand Singh has legally challenged Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar's election as the party's national president. In a legal notice to Sunetra Pawar, working president Praful Patel, and election nodal officer Brijmohan Srivastava, Singh alleged irregularities in the organisational election process and sought to have her election declared void.
