Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that the company will launch its first robotaxi trial in Austin, Texas, by the end of June. About 10 self-driving cars will hit the streets initially, with plans to scale up to a thousand in the coming months. The rollout comes as Tesla faces U.S. safety investigations and slumping sales globally. Musk has said that full autonomy and Tesla's Optimus robots are the company's future, as it shifts away from building lower-cost EVs. In another development, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has called U.S. export controls on AI chips to China "a failure." Speaking at the Computex event in Taipei, Huang said that the curbs have backfired prompting China to accelerate domestic chip development and turn to local firms like Huawei. The comments follow renewed tensions, with China urging the U.S. to halt what it calls discriminatory measures. Nvidia's market share in China has plunged from 95% to 50% since the Biden administration began implementing restrictions. Watch The World Report for the latest updates.
