Schools in Mumbai could re-open in Mumbai by the January 27 if cases continue to decline in Mumbai, according to BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal. The state's Covid Task Force will have to sign off on the decision but there is pressure from school associations and parent associations to reopen schools as soon as possible.
