India's automotive market is evolving rapidly, and manufacturers are exploring multiple pathways to improve efficiency, reduce emissions and cut dependence on fossil fuels.
At an event showcasing its future strategy, JSW MG Motor unveiled ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology)—a new intelligent vehicle architecture designed to support EVs, Hybrids (HEV), Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) and Range-Extender EVs (REEV) on a single platform.
The technology combines a dedicated hybrid engine, battery system, intelligent electric drive unit and an electromagnetic hybrid transmission. It also features an intelligent energy management system that automatically switches between multiple drive modes for optimal efficiency and performance.
More importantly, MG has confirmed that it plans to introduce a new Plug-in Hybrid and a new EV in this financial year, with launches expected around the festive season.
