Mamata Banerjee, Protesting In Kolkata Over Bengal's Dues, Takes On BJP, Congress

In her two-day dharna at Kolkata's iconic Red Road, Mamata Banerjee signalled her party's push for regional forces to play a larger role. She attacked both the BJP and Congress from the stage. She announced the state would clear MNREGA dues of beneficiaries which she claims the Centre has withheld due to political reasons. The tone and tenor of the messaging at the dharna stage is an indicator of the TMC's 2024 campaign, political experts said.
