Over 12,000 people have now signed a petition seeking a public holiday on Diwali in the UK. The UK celebrates Diwali in a very big way and many from different communities and countries participate in the festival of lights. The Hindu faith is the third largest in the UK and many British MPs are now ready to argue for Diwali to be made a public holiday. We take stock of whether the UK will go the way of many South East Asian countries.
